When we don't swim

Fog, Fog, Fog.....a few times a year a fog bank hits and it is impossible to navigate. Lucky tried once and was out 45 minutes before he could find land again.

Jack Beattie's Lake swim champs

Sean, Lucky and Yuko finish 1,2,3 in the annual pancake breakfast swim at Jake Beattie's house in 2006. All are lake cane swimmers.

Lake cane swimmers escape Alcatraz

Oct 2006, 10 lake cane swimmers completed the impossible escape from the island prison of Alcatraz to the mainland. What happend to the 11th and 12th swimmers we may never know.

Swimmers from the early ninties

We have been swimming the lake since 1989. The Wall of Fame didn't start until 1999. Many of these swimmers are not on the wall.

Our oldest first time female swimmer

Mom, at age 69 wanted on the wall. She did it too...doing sidestroke the entire distance. A total of seven Meisenheimers are signers of the wall.

Yes those are all fish in the water at the start of our swim. But what feed on those fish???

Typical Saturday Morning swim

We average 12 to 25 swimmers on a typical Saturday morning with a few spectators hanging out on the dock.

Sunrise Swim

For those that have never experienced a sunrise swim it's hard to describe the moment. This photo helps, but being there is the ultimate.

Hurricane man Swim 2007

Krista becomes the first Special Olympian to swim the 2.4 mile hurricane man swim. Then gives Lucky crap about his certificate is yellow because he is a chicken. He only did the 1000meter sprint. Yuko, Sean and Lucky win their age divisons. Mike just got a good breakfast and fond memories.
